Ownership & Access
Different stores may have different Google account owners. We need to identify the right contacts, obtain manager access and coordinate any required verification.
A practical plan to establish accurate, complete and properly configured Google Business Profiles across the MiMarkits network.
Based on my preliminary assessment of all 73 locations, this proposal outlines the recommended work, estimated hours and investment required to establish a consistent foundation.
Audit note: This preliminary assessment is based on publicly available information, without management access to individual Google Business Profiles. The exact work required will be confirmed as profile access and store information become available.
Some Mi Liquors locations operate within larger retail or wholesale businesses that already have a Google Business Profile.
These locations need further investigation to determine whether the liquor store should be represented under the existing profile or qualifies for its own separate Mi Liquors listing.
This will be assessed individually before any profiles are created or changed.
Setting up, correcting or completing an individual Google Business Profile is generally straightforward.
The challenge is delivering this work across 73 independently operated stores, each with different owners, access arrangements and levels of profile completeness. Some locations are also part of larger retail or wholesale operations.
Across a network of this size, securing access, gathering information, resolving exceptions and managing follow-ups can take more time than the actual profile updates.
It's therefore important to consider the workload in two parts: the hands-on GBP setup and cleanup, and the administration, communication and project management required to deliver it.
Different stores may have different Google account owners. We need to identify the right contacts, obtain manager access and coordinate any required verification.
Some liquor outlets operate within larger retail or wholesale businesses. We need to establish whether a separate liquor store profile is eligible or whether the existing business profile should be used.
Trading hours, contact details, photographs and other business information need to be confirmed with individual stores. Requests and follow-ups must be tracked to keep the work progressing.
The work is divided into two parts: store-level GBP setup and cleanup, and central project coordination across all 73 locations.
Each store will be assessed against a consistent checklist, with the work tailored to its existing profile, business arrangements and eligibility. There is no need to repeat work that is already correct.
Foundational checklist applied to each store where relevant.
The project management and administration required to coordinate the rollout across 73 locations. This includes communication, access arrangements, information management, progress tracking and routine follow-ups.
Establish a central working process to organise store information, access and implementation progress.
Coordinate introductions, access requests and routine communication with store owners.
Organise the store information and approved assets needed for implementation.
Coordinate the rollout, monitor outstanding tasks and provide progress updates.
Provide a consolidated summary of completed work and any outstanding matters.
This proposal is based on a preliminary review of publicly available Google Business Profile information. Once profile access and store details are available, the exact work required at each location can be confirmed.
Checklist actions apply where relevant. Light updates do not require a full rebuild. Ongoing review replies, posts, ranking monitoring and monthly optimisation are separate. Alcohol product catalogue uploads are excluded.
Any significant issues or work beyond the agreed scope will be discussed before proceeding.
The estimated workload is divided into two parts: hands-on GBP setup and cleanup at store level, and the project management and coordination required across the network.
Based on the preliminary audit, I’ve grouped the 73 locations into three practical workload categories, each with a different time allowance.
Each location has been assigned a provisional workload category based on its starting condition. This provides a practical estimate without assuming every store requires the same amount of work.
| Work category | Stores | Est. hours per store | Total hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| New Profile Setup | 27 | 3.5 | 94.5 |
| Standard Profile Updates | 25 | 2 | 50 |
| Light Updates & Review | 21 | 1 | 21 |
| Total Estimated Hours | 73 | — | 165.5 |
Planning note: These categories and time allowances are provisional. The 27 new-profile allocations are planning estimates, not 27 confirmed new listings. Actual requirements and eligibility will be confirmed as store information and GBP access become available.
Alongside the store-level GBP work, I’ve allowed an estimated 60 hours for the project management and administration needed to coordinate the rollout across 73 locations.
This covers central setup, store-owner communication, access requests, information management, progress tracking and final handover.
| Activity | What the hours cover | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Project Setup & Tracking | Establish a central working process to organise store information, access and implementation progress. | 10 |
| Store-Owner Coordination | Coordinate store-owner introductions, access requests, routine communication and follow-ups. | 27 |
| Information & Assets | Organise supplied store information and approved assets needed for implementation. | 6 |
| Rollout Management | Coordinate the rollout, monitor outstanding tasks and provide progress updates to 81 Agency. | 12 |
| Final Summary & Handover | Consolidate completed work, outstanding matters and final project status. | 5 |
| Total Estimated Hours | 60 | |
Planning assumptions: These 60 hours cover project-wide coordination and administration, separate from individual GBP work.
The estimate assumes MiMarkits provides a named contact for each store, facilitates introductions and supports access requests where needed.
Complex ownership disputes, prolonged verification issues, suspensions and Google appeals fall outside the standard allowance and would be assessed separately.
I recommend allowing approximately five months for the once-off implementation, although I’ll aim to complete the work sooner wherever possible.
The exact timeline is difficult to predict before we have access to the profiles and confirmed store contacts. Some locations can be addressed quickly, while others may depend on owner responses, missing information or Google verification.
A practical rollout plan and milestones can be agreed at kickoff.
Confirm the store list and contacts, establish the project tracking process, arrange access and begin work on locations that are ready.
Work through stores as access and information become available. Set up eligible new profiles, update existing listings and track progress and outstanding requirements.
Review completion statuses across the network, record outstanding items and provide a consolidated project summary.
Detailed responsibilities, access arrangements and the working process can be agreed during kickoff.
Based on 225.5 estimated hours at a reference rate of R650 per hour, representing a calculated value of R146,575.
I'm happy to offer a reduced project fee of R125,000 for the proposed implementation, based on the scope and responsibilities outlined in this proposal.
Equivalent to approximately R1,712 per store, averaged across all 73 locations.
I'd like to make this project work for 81 Agency and MiMarkits.
The proposed fee is open for discussion, particularly if we can adjust the scope, divide responsibilities differently or agree on a different level of involvement and service.
My aim is to find a fair, practical arrangement that works for everyone, with clear expectations around the agreed deliverables and workload.
The proposed scope, workload and investment are now outlined. I’d welcome the opportunity to discuss the proposal with 81 Agency and agree on a practical arrangement that works for everyone.
If we need to adjust the budget, we can review the scope, responsibilities and level of involvement together.
Once we’re aligned, we can confirm the final quotation and plan the implementation.
